Featured Queen
Gianna Vittorini
We recently sat down with Gianna Vittorini and asked her questions about her current reign as IJM’s National Preteen Queen. Gianna is an aspiring actress, model and singer, she is one busy 12 year old! Gianna has held many titles in New York and Florida. She now resides in Boca Raton, Florida. She was crowned National American Miss New York Jr. Pre-teen for 2008 and then went on to win the state title for American Coed (New York) in 2009 where she placed 2nd runner up at Nationals. Gianna then competed at the IJM state pageant in New York in 2009 and went on to place 1st runner-up at Nationals in Orlando last year. This year Gianna took the national Preteen title at International Jr. Miss in Nashville Tennessee. Gianna has also won several Supermodel with Style awards along with a National modeling award! We see great things in Gianna’s future.
Q. How does it feel to be the National Preteen Queen for the International Jr. Miss Organization?
Being a part of the International Junior Miss Organization has been an honor and I'm so thankful to be a part of the IJM family. From day one all of my work has paid off, I've worked so hard to be at the point that I am today and grateful to all of my family and friends that have supported me.
Q. What are your plans this year?
This year my goal is to visit multiple charity events, like the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation that is so close to my heart.
Q. What do you like to do for fun?
I am a kindhearted, 12 year old trendsetter fashionista. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family and friends. Also enjoy playing soccer, Tae Kwon Do, track, skateboarding, and singing too. For fun I like to play with my dogs and hangout with family and friends.
Q. Why do like competing in pageants?
My favorite part is meeting new people and being lead to new opportunities in life. I have met some of my best friends through pageants. I am also thankful to MRM Pageant Gowns who created my gorgeous winning interview suit for IJM Nationals this year and I also get all my gowns from MRM!
Q. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself continuing my acting and singing career while being an executive at my own 5 star restaurant. Also, to hopefully find a cure for Myasthenia Gravis disease which I fight against every day.
Q. How has winning the title changed your life?
Winning IJM has changed my life and who I am as person. It helped me realize that thru the struggles dreams can come true while fighting with Myasthenia Gravis every day.
Q. What is your “motto”?
“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
—Helen Keller
Q. Tell us something we do not know about you?
I am a family girl...I love spending time with them. I love putting on fashion shows for my family and friends. I dress up in gowns, funky outfits and party dresses and walk down the hallway in my house. Plus when I video tape the show it helps me figure what I can do better next time.
